Job Description:

Do you have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and guiding young students as a Year 2 teacher? Step Teachers are collaborating with a forward-thinking school in Romford that is in search of a dedicated Year 2 Teacher who is passionate about nurturing that enthusiasm in the school's students. This school has received a "Good" Ofsted rating in the past, and it consistently meets it's high expectations for student learning. The position is on a long-term basis, and the successful candidate is expected to commence in January 2025.   Please note ECTs are advised not to submit their applications.  

Year 2 Teacher - Role:

  • Able to deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment.
  • Work effectively with other members of staff throughout the school.
  • Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.

Year 2 Teacher - Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have recent experience as a Primary level Supply Teacher – Key Stage 1.
  • Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
