MPI require a Mechanical Fitter to work on a long term contract basis

40 hours per week, with half hour lunch break but this can vary when working on client sites

Travel to different sites necessary 

 

Our client is an established manufacturer of water processing equipment, based in Bedford. They require a skilled mechanical fitter to assist with installations of equipment on client sites.

The role will involve travelling to client sites and assisting an engineering team with the installation of a wide range of processing / treating equipment.

Experience of working on Water Treatment works is always an advantage.

ESSENTIAL

CSCS Card – Green (as a minimum) Blue or Gold

SSSTS or SMSTS

EUSR (water Hygiene)

Confined Space

PASMA (Scaffold Towers)

First Aid

 

JOB PURPOSE

To work safely at all times and to always consider the safety of others in anything they do. To deliver mechanical services on defined projects. To take instruction from a team leader. To work in the workshop or on site as required

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Mechanical fitting

Experience in working with mechanical equipment

Ideally a recognised apprenticeship

Ability to work from instruction

Clear demonstration of safety behaviour

Full valid UK driving licence (or equivalent) – essential

Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme [CSCS] card

Valid National Water Hygiene card
