Packaging Pre-Press Manager
Belfast, Northern Ireland
Up to £45,000 based on experience, plus benefits
We’re working in partnership with a global market leader within packaging solutions as they seek an experienced Pre-Press Manager to bolster their reprographics department. This is a full-time, site-based position at the company’s busy Belfast premises.
As a key member of the team, this person will not only be the responsible line manager for the small team, but they’ll also be hands on in managing the expectations of the department, including preparing artwork for print. Working closely with other departments across Ireland and further afield, the team are key to ensuring a smooth workflow and a high-quality end product which adheres to company standards.
The Role
- Manage prepress admin tasks and workflows.
- Review and adjust customer supplied artwork files for colour and quality.
- Provide information for litho kit preparation and platemaking.
- Ensure artwork is ready for printing on various presses.
- Develop training resources and keep Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) updated.
- Maintain high production quality and follow customer requirements.
- Participate in improvement projects and quality programs to identify and report any issues or deviation of standards.
- Promote the use of ArtPro+ software and Automation Engine tools.
- Perform quality control checks on internal production requests.
The Person
- Experience in a supervisory / team lead position.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye whilst being able to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of Esko ArtPro / ArtPro+ / PackEdge, and Esko Automation Engine (knowledge of WebCenter is highly advantageous but not necessary).
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Experienced in high-quality production environments.
- Self-motivated, focused on results, and able to take initiative.
- Committed to confidentiality and continuous improvement.
