We’re working with a leading print solutions provider based in Sheffield as they seek an experienced digital printer to join their production team. The business specialises in a wide range of printing services, from photo products and marketing materials through to packaging and direct mail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital printing and a keen eye for detail. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about print technology and eager to work in a fast-paced environment amongst a multitude of state-of-the-art technologies.

The business operates on a rotating weekly shift pattern, sadly if you cannot commit to working shifts this role will not be suitable.
Earlies – 6am-1.30pm (Mon-Fri)
Afternoons – 1.30pm – 9am (Mon-Fri)
Nights – 9pm-6am (Sun-Thu)

 

The Role

- Operate and maintain HP Indigo / Ricoh Pro digital presses, ensuring optimal performance and print quality.
- Prepare and load print files, substrates, and inks according to job specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Monitor print jobs throughout the production process to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and manage workflow efficiently.
- Conduct quality control checks on printed materials, adjusting, as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols.

 

The Person

- Proven experience as a digital print operator within the print production industry (ideally having used Ricoh Pro, HP Indigo (Series 3 / 4 ) or similar)
- Strong technical skills and the ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance.
- Computer literate
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality prints.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed.

 

Salary & Benefits
A salary commensurate with experience is on offer with a higher rate available for candidates who are experienced HP Indigo Operators with Level 1/2/3 operator qualifications.
