We at Orion are currently recruiting for Smart Metering Engineers for a fantastic opportunity to work on a contract with one of the big 5 energy suppliers of the UK’s #1 metering provider.

We are looking for experienced, quality smart metering engineers to install meters into domestic properties. 

The role:

• You will be working on an efficient contract on a full-time PAYE basis.
• Salary £38,000 pa.
• Health and Safety Bonus, Detailed description of how to achieve bonus below.

• Genuine Progression opportunities.
• Permit to Operate/ MOCOPA completed on induction.
• Buddying requirement as part of induction.
• Fully racked, vented Van and fuel card supplied.
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays total of 33 days.

• Consumables, parts and tools provided. Parts etc, distributed to a local Bybox
• All stock and materials are delivered to your local Bybox and orders can be placed daily for stock for next day delivery.

Call out and Weekends

• 1 in 5 rota
• £35 standby per shift
• Time and half from 5pm onwards

Daily Expectations and bonus

• Engineers to be at customers property to start at 8am

• 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday with 1 hour lunch

• Completion of 4/5 jobs a day (this can be a mixture of work, i.e, dual, check coms, singles).
• After completion of 5 meters daily £25
• There is an expectation that engineers must be on their first job for the 8am each day and to complete a minimum of 4/5jobs per day

Bonus:

HEALTH AND SAFETY BONUS – £225 per month

To achieve your monthly H&S bonus the criteria is as follows,

You will have a number of Work in Progress audits and Post Complete audits in a month. Audit failures are categorised into CAT1, CAT2 and CAT3

• CAT 1 loss of bonus and for 1 month following

• CAT 2 - 50% bonus

• CAT 3 - more than 1 is 25% deduction.

Pay

• Salary – Paid monthly
• H&S bonus Paid monthly.

Requirements

• Diploma/ qualification in smart meter engineering.
• MOCOPA.
• EUSR card (not essential).
• CMA1 certificate or CCN1 & MET1
• Driving licence.
• Clean DBS check.
