Hours :Monday to Friday 7.30 am to 5pm

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing servicing the fabrication and signage marketplace. Owned by the global leader in the manufacture of acrylics, the distribution team is ideally placed to deliver excellence in supplying and supporting their customers. As part of its expansion the company is recruiting Warehouse operative for their distribution centre in Weybridge; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parking and numerous other benefits.

THE ROLE

You will be involved in:•

Receiving and dispatching goods•

Picking and loading customer orders•

Stock control•

Quality checks•

Following company policies and procedures to ensure a high level of safety at all times•

Ensuring all stock is correctly unloaded, checked and stored in the correct locations.

THE CANDIDATE:

You will be organised and able to evidence successful experience of general warehousing. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be numerate and have a good "eye" for detail and accuracy.Knowledge of flat sheet cutting, saws or similar machinery is desirable but not essential.A problem solver with a flexible approach and a "can do" attitude, ideally you will hold a current FLT licence using counterbalance or reach and have experience/awareness of general health and safety procedures.

You will have the following key skills:•

Experience in a busy, high pick value warehouse•

Knowledge of Schelling cutting saws would be ideal although not essential as full training will be given.•

Fork lift truck experience ideally using a reach or counterbalance truck.

Good communication skills•

Excellent H&S knowledge

There will be no working weekends with this position and there is a shutdown over the Christmas period.
