Highly successful global design, development and manufacturing organisation with a commitment to R&D and investment in new technologies are looking for a talented Production Planning Manager to undertake a varied role in support of an electro-mechanical product portfolio.
As Production Planning Manager, the role is critical to managing the master planning on site through an experienced team of planners, buyers and schedulers. As such you will utilise your Master Scheduling background and strategic acumen to enable them to drive manufacturing efficiency improvements and for ensuring that material is released to production in an effective manner to support On Time Delivery (OTD).
First class management and leadership skills are essential. As Production Planning Manager you will lead, motivate and develop your team as well as provide support to drive a culture of master planning and ensure the company hits it’s On Time Delivery and World Class Reliability goals.
Key accountabilities for Production Planning Manager will include:
Line management of the planning and demand management team on site
Strategic input to drive change within the planning and demand function
Manage the material master process on SAP
Development and optimization of the processes and systems
Develop strong relationships with customers
To succeed in this role you will be:
- A motivated, commercially focused individual with the ability to lead and drive systems and business changes to ensure on time delivery of materials to production.
- Proven leadership / man-management skills
- Preferably with an engineering or supply chain qualification and several years experience of planning a complex production schedule.
- Must have first class leadership and organisation skills.
- Experience of SAP or ERP / MRP systems essential.
