As the Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic marketing team collectively bringing sophistication, creativity and smart thinking to all of their marketing and messaging strategies. You will drive the overall marketing strategy, ensuring brand consistency and values are respected, enhancing market presence with considered marketing activity that brings the brand to life. This role is pivotal in shaping the narrative of the brand, optimising digital initiatives, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve business objectives.
For this role it is essential that you are a hands-on, empathetic leader with a passion for mentorship. You will have previous experience of developing and executing a robust audience strategy, building out segmented and targeted marketing approaches to engage key customer demographics. You will also have led initiatives to deepen audience understanding through data-driven insights, enhancing engagement across digital channels, and expanding brand reach in current and new markets.
Key Responsibilities for the Head of Marketing:
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
Manage and mentor the marketing team, guiding their professional growth while ensuring each member’s unique strengths are leveraged. Create a culture of creativity, forward-thinking, and excellence in execution, with clear paths for individual development.
Strategic Brand Development:
Shape and implement the brand’s overall marketing strategy, ensuring it aligns with the brand’s vision. Collaborate closely with company founders to evolve brand identity, refine messaging, and drive a unique, consistent narrative across all channels.
Digital Marketing Oversight:
Lead digital strategy and oversee initiatives across all channels, with particular emphasis on Shopify-driven website management, paid digital advertising (Google & Meta Ads), and targeted email campaigns. Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager to optimise channels, harnessing analytics for continual improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Act as a senior team member, liaising with Operations, Sales, and other departments to integrate marketing initiatives across the business and support overall commercial objectives.
Market Analysis & Data-Driven Strategy:
Conduct thorough market and audience analysis to inform marketing decisions, ensuring campaigns deliver a balance between brand building and commercial impact. Present actionable insights to key stakeholders, focusing on ROI and strategic opportunity areas.
Campaign Management & Performance Tracking:
Oversee end-to-end campaign planning, execution, and performance analysis, optimising each step to maximise engagement and revenue. Partner with the team to establish KPIs and monitor outcomes to enhance ongoing strategies.
Event Management & Brand Experiences:
Work closely with the team to create memorable brand events, product launches, and promotional activities that resonate with target audiences, showcasing the brand’s unique brand appeal.
What they are looking for:
- Sophisticated understanding of the requirements of marketing a high value product and associated brand & comms standards.
- 5 years (ideally more) + proven experience in digital marketing management, with a focus on advertising and website content management.
- Good knowledge of working with third party marketing platforms, ideally with existing proficiency in Shopify, Klaviyo (ideally), and Google Analytics. Experience of working with a sales CRM (e.g. Hubspot) would be very useful.
- Demonstrated ability to strategically plan digital advertising campaigns, with experience of holistic management of paid owned and earned channels.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in marketing reporting.
- Nimble, joined-up thinker with strong bias to action.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy and varied workload and team, delivering to deadlines.
- Experienced in audience strategy and segmentation.
- Mature mindset, and collaborative team player and strong relationship builder.
If you are a results-oriented, keen team player and confident mentor, with a passion for high end brands and product offering, we invite you to apply today to be part of their continued journey towards world-class excellence.
