Job Description:

Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Primary School in Oxford who are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to start in December. This Teaching Assistant role will involve working in a Year 3 class, primarily 121 with a student with mild SEND needs, but also supporting the Teacher across the whole class.

There is a very collective ethos of this Primary School in that their values are not only about success but for everyone to be able to succeed together. Under the former Ofsted ratings for schools, this one form-entry Primary was rated ‘Good’. 

Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Able to provide 1 to 1, small group and whole class support
  • Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Ability to support students and encourage their progression
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement effectively

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

  • Recent experience working in a Mainstream or Special Schools as a Teaching Assistant
  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or Childcare qualification is desirable
  • Previous SEND experience is essential
