As Oxfordshire's leading supply teaching agency, Class Act Teaching Services are currently working with a Primary School in Oxford who are looking for a Year 5 Class Teacher. Starting in January 2025, this Year 5 Class Teacher role is full time and will involve the full role of planning, marking and reporting. The school are looking for a Year 5 Class Teacher to continue until the end of the academic year.

This Primary School has an ethos that is built around the children learning in a happy and safe environment. The school are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and have a two form-entry; they promote development not just academically but also socially and as a rounded individual too.

Year 5 Class Teacher Role:

• Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
• Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
• Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Year 5 Class Teacher Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teaching Status
• Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• Experience working with SEND is desirable
