We’re working with a leading solutions provider of print and finishing equipment as they search to expand their technical support team.

Within the role you’ll be responsible as a first point of contact providing technical troubleshooting assistance to clients via telephone and online. You’ll work with end users to solve electrical, mechanical, and print related issues as well as scheduling field service engineers to attend for site visits where required, providing an excellent service every step of the way.

This role would suit someone who is technically minded, competent at understanding machinery diagrams/schematics with an understanding of troubleshooting common issues related to production print equipment - perhaps an ex-field service engineer or demonstrator who no longer wants the associated role related travel. The role is full time based on site at the company’s Macclesfield offices.

The Role
- Providing remote based technical assistance to end users of a variety of machinery including printing presses and finishing equipment, including warranty claims
- Working with the service team to plan and schedule machinery installs, commissioning of new machinery or organising on site equipment repairs
- Ordering parts and organising delivery of these
- Documenting all aspects of every process using the company’s client management systems
- Occasional travel to site to assist in technical troubleshooting

The Person
- Technically competent with troubleshooting skills for both mechanical and electrical issues
- Can read and understand electrical schematics, pneumatic diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Computer literate (confident user of Office, Outlook, Excel and CRM systems)
- Excellent client management / customer service skills
- Great attention to detail
- Electrically or mechanically qualified, OR, has hands on experience equivalent within a similar role
- Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel on occasion to client sites to assist with troubleshooting

Salary & Benefits
Based on experience you’ll receive a competitive salary of up to £41,000 based on experience, plus pension, holiday allowance, on site parking, and much more.
