Job Description:

Step Teachers are working with a school in Barking and Dagenham to find a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team in a long-term role . This is an exciting full-time opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young students! The successful candidate is expected to start ASAP.

EYFS Teaching Assistant - Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
  • Will work 1:1 most of the time with challenging children.
  • Plan and execute enriching activities to enhance student learning and development.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with the Class Teacher and other staff members.
  • Identify and address the additional support needs of students.

EYFS Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an Early Years setting within a mainstream school or private nursery.
  • A nurturing nature and the ability to inspire learners of all abilities.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS) is desirable.
  • Ideally paediatric first aid trained.
  • SEN trained is essential.
