Step Teachers are working with a Secondary school in Hackney that is looking for a Religious Education Teacher in January 2025. The Religious Education Teacher role is full-time teaching KS3 and 4 and will likely lead to a permanent position. The school is an inclusive environment where pupils are polite and friendly. If you are passionate about Religious Education, then Step Teachers wants to hear from you. You will need to have previous experience of teaching Religious Studies at secondary school in the UK and have QTS status.

Religious Education Teacher – Role:

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum.
  • Maintain an organised and professional classroom environment with all the associated resources.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
  • Assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
  • A Religious Education Teacher should ensure compliance with the school’s policies and implement them reliably.
  • As a Religious Education Teacher you must plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.

 Religious Education Teacher – Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
  • A desire to contribute to the vibrant school community and engage in extracurricular activities. 
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.
