The Role

You will be joining a large team to support pupils with Autism and SEMH .  There are 5 - 6 pupils in each class and you will be supporting on a 1 to 1 as well as group  basis. Within the class you will be based in, some of the pupils demonstrate challenging behaviour and you should be confident in managing and be able to support in helping pupils to become calm.

The school are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting young children or adults with special educational needs. You must be confident and be able to engage and proactively support pupils with alternative communication methods.

The School

This friendly and welcoming special needs school caters for pupils with SEMH including those on the autistic spectrum. The school is an established SEMH Secondary School for children with special needs in Enfield. The school works in partnership with families to support students to develop their communication skills, be independent and support their all-round mental emotional and physical development. There is an established leadership team in place within the school and there are excellent opportunities for training and development within the school as it grows.

This role is offered on a full-time basis long term. The school are looking for someone to start ASAP.
