Location: Haringey, London

Salary: £186.73 - £248.88+ PAYE (Daily rate)

Contract Type: Fixed-term, commencing ASAP and running until the February half-term, with the possibility of an extension.

If so, Step Teachers are working with a school that have an exciting opportunity for a Physical Education Teacher to join our team in Haringey.

The Role

The school are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons across a range of year groups. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in promoting fitness, teamwork, and resilience in students, fostering a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering a comprehensive Physical Education curriculum that meets national standards.
  • Encouraging participation in both individual and team sports, with a focus on skill development and enjoyment.
  • Organising extracurricular activities, including school sports teams and inter-school competitions.
  • Promoting the values of healthy living and physical well-being throughout the school.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A proven track record of teaching Physical Education to high standards.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for Physical Education and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
