Our client is a renowned provider of high-quality print and signage solutions, delivering exceptional products to a wide range of clients. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Sign Maker and Fitter to join their dynamic team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking company with a reputation for quality and innovation in the signage industry.

The working hours for this role are 8:30am- 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.  This role will see this hire spend most of their time in the workshop and occasionally stepping out to fit jobs locally due to the needs and demands of their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Signage Production:

• Manufacture signs using a variety of materials, including vinyl, acrylic, metal, and wood.
• Operate machinery such as vinyl cutters, laser cutters, and flatbed printers.
• Apply graphics and finishing touches, including laminating, mounting, and printing to achieve a polished final product.

• Sign Fitting:

• Install signs at client sites, ensuring that they are securely fitted and aligned to the client’s specifications.
• Safely handle large and complex signage installations, both internally and externally.
• Use tools such as drills, ladders, and scaffolding for sign fitting, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Quality Control and Finishing:

• Inspect completed signage for quality and accuracy before installation.
• Carry out checks to ensure all signage is fit for purpose and meets both client and regulatory standards.

• Client Interaction:

• Liaise with clients to understand their signage requirements and offer advice on the best materials and installation methods.
• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction with both the product and the installation process.

• Health and Safety:

• Follow all health and safety guidelines during sign production and installation.
• Ensure that work areas are kept clean, organised, and safe for both yourself and others.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience operating Mimaki and Zund CNC is preferable
• Proven experience in sign making and fitting, including vinyl application, cutting, weeding, usage of hand tools, and installation.
• Strong knowledge of materials used in signage production, including acrylics, metals, and vinyl.
• Familiarity with sign-making machinery and tools, such as vinyl cutters, routers, and printers.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on high-quality finishes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to project requirements.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to client sites local to the factory using a company van.
• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Salary and Benefits

A salary of up to £28,000 is on offer for this role and is dependent on experience. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, genuine opportunities for progression and more!
