Job Description:
Welding Inspector
Orion Electrotech are working with an exciting company who are seeking a Welding Inspector to join our Quality team and ensure compliance with drawings and welding procedures. Reporting to the Special Process Manager, the Welding Inspector will work directly with Welding Operators and customers to support the manufacture of heat exchanger assemblies.

What You Will Do as a Welding Inspector
- Ensure all welds adhere to drawings and welding procedures.
- Conduct pre-weld visual fit-up and verify welding equipment.
- Perform post-weld visual inspections to meet quality standards.
- Define and document rework and repair schemes.
- Mentor and provide constructive feedback to Fitting and Welding Operators.
- Conduct department spot checks to maintain TPM and NADCAP compliance.
- Participate in RRCA investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Support process improvements to reduce waste and boost efficiency.

Education & Experience Requirements for a Welding Inspector
- Essential:
- TIG welding experience with Aluminum and Stainless/Nickel Alloys.
- CSWIP Level 3 qualification.
- City & Guilds Fabrication and Welding or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of weld measurement techniques and equipment.
