Job Description:

We are looking for a professional and friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact at wonderful Institution. As a key member of the front-of-house team, you will provide a welcoming and efficient service to students, staff, and visitors, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at our reception. This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy educational environment. This role begins March 2025.

Duties as Receptionist:

 

  • Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Handle incoming calls and emails, directing enquiries as appropriate
  • Manage student and staff sign-ins, issuing passes and maintaining security procedures
  • Support administrative tasks, including data entry, document handling, and appointment scheduling
  • Assist with student enrolment, attendance records, and general enquiries
  • Maintain a tidy and organised reception area
  • Provide information about courses, timetables, and institutional policies when required

Ideal Receptionist:

 

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A professional and welcoming manner with the ability to handle enquiries efficiently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a busy environment as a Receptionist
  • An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality in an educational setting
