Manufacturing Engineer - Dorking

Key Responsibilities:
- Champion continuous improvement to enhance manufacturing quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Define and optimize assembly processes, including pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and testing.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Lead issue resolution and fault diagnosis to ensure seamless production operations.
- Support design reviews, ensuring manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Implement lean methodologies, driving efficiency and operational excellence.
What Were Looking For:
- Strong mechanical mindset with experience in automotive or similar manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in process documentation, including process flow, PFMEA, and operational documentation.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies (JIT, Kanban, MRP, Six Sigma desirable).
- Skilled in diagnostic troubleshooting and issue resolution within a fast-paced production setting.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and circuit schematics (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic).
- Strong IT skills, including SolidWorks (Desirable), SAP (Desirable), and Microsoft Office.
- A goal-oriented, adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Desirable: Six Sigma Green Belt, Diploma in Lean Manufacturing.
