Location: Thetford
Reports To: Head of Commercial

Joining as an Account Manager, you will be working in a business who serve a diverse range of industries, providing high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing solutions. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an Account Manager to manage and develop customer relationships, drive sales growth, and ensure customer satisfaction across their portfolio.
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service. You will act as the key point of contact between the business and its customers, ensuring smooth project execution and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities of the Account Manager:
Account Management & Customer Engagement
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers, developing strong relationships to drive long-term business success.
- Ensure customer requirements, expectations, and technical needs are effectively communicated to internal teams.
- Conduct regular customer meetings (both on-site and remote) to review performance, discuss ongoing projects, and explore new opportunities.
Business Development & Growth
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within existing accounts and work with external Sales Team to develop new business opportunities.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for business expansion.
- Lead contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and proposal development to maximise revenue.
Project & Order Management
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of customer projects.
- Monitor order progress, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any issues proactively.
- Support customers with technical queries, liaising with internal experts where necessary.
Market & Industry Intelligence
- Stay updated on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project statuses using CRM tools.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on account performance and sales forecasts.
The successful Account Manager will ideally have the below skills and experience:
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing
- Strong account management and business development skills, with a proven track record of growing customer accounts.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to engage with technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Willingness to travel across England for customer meetings.
