Job Description:
Are you a patient, empathetic, and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? A school in Norfolk is seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and supportive team. This role begins March 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Help adapt resources and materials to meet individual learning needs.
- Support the emotional, social, and behavioural development of students.
- Encourage independence and self-confidence in students.
- Assist with personal care and medical needs as required.
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs.
- A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
- An understanding of different learning needs, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.
- A willingness to undertake professional development and training.
