Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic individual looking to support children’s learning and development? A school in Oxfordshire is seeking a compassionate and proactive Teaching Assistant to join their friendly and supportive team. This role begins April 2025.

Duties as a Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Support the teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Work one-to-one or with small groups of students to provide additional support.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students.
  • Supervise children during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support teaching and learning.

Ideal Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Teaching Assistant.
  • A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting students.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude to classroom support.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
