Duties as an English Teacher:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Inspire students to appreciate the power of language and literature.
• Foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
• Assess student progress and provide regular feedback and support.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the individual needs of students.
• Collaborate with colleagues in the English department and the wider school.
• Support students’ development of their English skills through both creative and analytical tasks.

Ideal English Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4.
• A deep passion for English literature and language.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in lessons.
• Creative and innovative teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills as an English Teacher.
• A commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
