As a General Science Teacher, you will play a key role in teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4, and possibly Key Stage 5, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills, and problem-solving abilities. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and nurture a passion for science. The successful General Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as General Science Teacher:

  • Deliver exciting and interactive lessons in General Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to Key Stage 3 and 4 students, with potential for Key Stage 5.

  • Foster a passion for science, encouraging scientific enquiry and the development of practical skills.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support student achievement.

  • Collaborate with the Science department to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.

  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Ideal General Science Teacher:

 

  • A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar).

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).

  • A strong understanding of the General Science curriculum and the ability to teach across all three sciences.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • A passion for developing the scientific potential of every student.
