Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English/Drama Teacher to join a vibrant school. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons in both English and Drama across KS3 and KS4, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love for literature and performance. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as an English/Drama Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English and Drama in line with the National Curriculum.
Inspire and engage students in reading, writing, performance, and theatrical expression.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities such as drama productions and literary clubs.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance both the English and Drama departments.
Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all pupils.
Ideal English/Drama Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
Experience teaching English and Drama at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature, theatre, and performance.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills as an English/Drama Teacher.
A commitment to student progress and achievement.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
