We are looking for a nurturing, creative and reflective Year 1 Teacher to join a committed and supportive Key Stage 1 team. This is a vital role, helping children make a smooth and successful transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage into a more structured learning environment.

Duties as a Year 1 Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that build on early learning.

• Use a play-based and practical approach to support the transition into Key Stage 1.

• Deliver effective phonics teaching and early reading, writing and maths skills.

• Observe and assess pupil progress, using data to adapt your teaching.

• Create a positive, nurturing classroom where all children feel safe and valued.

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, staff, and families.

Ideal Year 1 Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

• A strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum and phonics teaching (e.g. Little Wandle, Read Write Inc).

• A creative, flexible and responsive approach to early learning.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Year 1 Teacher.

• A passion for nurturing confident, curious learners.
