Service & Breakdown Engineers – MOD Contract
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 (including callout and shift allowances)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We’re working with a leading contractor on a long-term MOD maintenance contract and are looking for skilled and experienced Service & Breakdown Engineers to join their team. This is a great opportunity for reliable engineers seeking secure work, strong benefits, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out service, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on heating systems and plant equipment across MOD sites
• Work to a 7-week rota, which includes:
  • 1 week in 7 on callout (included in salary package at £500/month)
  • 1 week in 7 working late shift (included in salary package at £200/month)
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and MOD standards
• Complete paperwork and reports accurately and on time
• Deliver high levels of customer service across MOD properties
• Work additional hours when authorised, including occasional overtime (pre-approved)

Shift Patterns:

• Standard Week: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
• Shift Week (1 in 7): Friday to Friday, 13:00 – 20:00
• Saturday (during shift week): 08:00 – 12:00

Salary & Benefits:

• Total package: £42,000 – £48,000 per annum
• Shift and callout payments included in total package

What You’ll Need:

• Valid ACS Certification (Gas Safe qualifications)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Valid passport
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks
• Satisfactory employment references
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work

Security Clearance:

• You must be eligible for MOD BPSS clearance, which includes:
  • ID verification
  • Employment history and reference checks
  • Proof of qualifications
