Duties as History Teacher:

• Deliver engaging, challenging lessons across Key Stages 3/4/5, covering topics such as British history, world history, and thematic studies.

• Inspire students to develop critical thinking, analytical writing, and independent research skills.

• Prepare students for GCSE and/or A-Level exams, following [Insert Exam Board – e.g., Edexcel, AQA].

• Use a range of teaching strategies and historical sources to make the subject come alive.

• Contribute to the wider Humanities curriculum and extracurricular opportunities (e.g., historical trips, debate clubs, school exhibitions).

Ideal History Teacher:

• Hold QTS and a relevant degree in History or a closely related subject.

• Have a deep passion for the subject and strong knowledge of historical content and pedagogy.

• Be able to engage students of all abilities and backgrounds with inclusive, high-quality teaching.

• Use feedback and assessment to support student progress effectively as a History Teacher.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute positively to department planning and improvement.
