Cut and Crease Machine Operator

Due to continued growth and success, my client is on the lookout for a Cut and Crease 1st Minder to join their team. My client is one of the market leaders within packaging and have multiple sites in the UK.

You will work 3 12 hour shifts a week, with a mixture of days and nights.

The Role

• Work as part of a team and maintain a flexible approach to the requirements of the business.
• To set and run all die cutting presses within the department.
• To understand working instructions and correctly interpret them.
• Adopt best practise and share knowledge within the team.
• Optimising all aspects of machine performance whilst maintaining quality standards.
• Carry out first off pass and all relevant checks and maintain quality standards throughout the run.
• Undertake all duties in accordance with current SOP’s and quality policies.
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks as outlined in the Asset Care Program.
• Engagement with the 5’s program and continuous improvement requirements of the business.
• Provide cover within the department for holiday’s, absence and peak demand.
• Transfer of work into and out of the department.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
• Flexible to assist in other areas of the business where suitable training has been provided.

The Person

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating a Bobst die cutting and creasing machine
• Quality conscious
• Computer literate
• Good level of communication
• Interpersonal and organisational skills
• Self-control and motivation
• Ability to work within a team
• Rational persuasion
• Efficiency focussed
• Concern for standards
