SEMH Teaching Assistant – Lambeth
Full-Time Long-Term Immediate Start

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEND or SEMH Teaching Assistant ready to make a real impact in a specialist school setting?

We are currently working in partnership with a SEMH School in Lambeth to recruit a committed SEND TA to join their supportive and dynamic team immediately.

The Role:

• Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant
• Location: Lambeth
• Start Date: September 2025
• Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (potential for permanent placement)
• Pay: £89–£100 per day (depending on experience)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

You will be supporting pupils with a range of complex needs including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Working in small classes alongside teachers and therapists, your role will be to support engagement, learning, and personal development through structured routines and tailored interventions.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience working with children with SEND (in school, care, or alternative settings)
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply through us)
• Any relevant training (Team Teach, PECS, Makaton) is a plus
