Mechanical Technician – Field Service & Assembly
Location: Barcelona, Spain (with occasional travel across Spain – company vehicle provided)
Salary: €34,000 – €38,000 Package
Start Date: Immediate

A well-established and globally respected commercial printing machinery manufacturer based in Barcelona is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join its Engineering Department. The Role

As a Mechanical Technician, you’ll play a critical role in the full lifecycle of machinery assembly and service – from in-house build and testing to on-site client installations and maintenance. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Assembling and adjusting machinery and mechanical components.
  • Performing internal testing and fine-tuning of machines prior to shipment.
  • Installing and commissioning new machines at client sites.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues during service visits.
  • Conducting both preventive and corrective maintenance on machines in the field.

This is a hands-on position ideally suited to an experienced mechanical professional who enjoys a mix of workshop-based tasks and travel to customer sites.

About You

You’ll bring a solid mechanical engineering background with strong assembly and diagnostic skills. We’re looking for someone who is not only technically capable, but also professional, reliable, and motivated.

Key Requirements:

  • Technical qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent vocational training.
  • Minimum 6–10 years of experience in machinery assembly and mechanical servicing.
  • Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and hands-on technical expertise.
  • Team player with a meticulous, professional, and proactive approach.
  • Willingness and availability to travel within Spain (vehicle provided).
  • Proficient in Spanish; English at B1 level or above.
