A brilliant opportunity has become available to join a lovely church of England primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham as a SEN Teaching Assistant in KS1 starting in September.

The Role

In this role, you will be working 1:1 with a child in Year 1 with Autism and associated behavioural difficulties. The child learns outside of the classroom and follows a personalised curriculum. He requires personal care and support with toileting and when dysregulated, requires a high level of support with behaviour and learning.  

The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children with a range of SEND, is reliable and committed in order to give the child consistency. Initiative and the ability to use a range of strategies to engage children, offer clear expectations and a positive approach are also essential.

This role is to start in September and is offered on a full-time contract until the end of the academic year (to July 2026).

 The School

This Church of England primary school is situated in Parsons Green in Hammersmith and Fulham.  The school is popular within the local community and there is good parental support for the school. They provide a broad and balanced curriculum which includes first hand experiences to challenge, motivate and include all pupils. Staff at the school are welcoming and friendly. As a 2 form entry site, teachers and teaching assistants within the year group work closely together in planning and assessment for their respective year groups.
