Mechanical Maintenance Engineer 

Salary: £48,000

Location: Doncaster

Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts, 4 on  4 off (days only)

• Carrying out routine maintenance on plant equipment and machinery

• Undertaking planned preventative tasks across pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves

• Responding to process alarms and completing reactive repairs

• Working safely under site health and safety regulations and isolation procedures (LOTO)

• Logging maintenance activities and completing relevant checksheets

• Supporting contractors and contributing to general site upkeep

• Assisting in ad-hoc mechanical or operational tasks as needed

• A recognised apprenticeship or CGLI (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering

• Solid mechanical maintenance experience — experience in the AD sector would be an advantage

• Understanding of isolation systems and safe working practices

• Familiarity with pump types (centrifugal, lobe, diaphragm, screw) and ability to replace seals, bearings, pipework, and valves

• Confident working at height

• Dual-skilled in electrical work is desirable, though not essential

• A team-oriented mindset and willingness to support across departments when needed
