Contract Test Technician – Valves Division

Location: Fareham
Contract Length: Until June 2026
Hourly Rate: £17.51 PAYE 10% shift allowance (£19.26/hour)
After 12 Weeks: £18.05 PAYE 10% shift allowance (£19.86/hour)
Shift: Early Shift (5 Days)
Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

• Friday: 6:00am – 1:30pm

Are you an experienced Test Technician looking for your next long-term contract opportunity? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Test Technician to join our Valves Division. You’ll play a crucial role in pressure and fuel testing of mechanical valves in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Test Technician:

• Conduct pressure and fuel tests using specialised rigs

• Inspect for internal and external leaks

• Apply correct torque settings and measure pressure flow rates

• Perform shimming and adjustments to achieve correct cracking pressure

• Work safely in a fuel test environment (PPE provided)

• Interpret technical drawings and written test procedures

• Follow DESAR working practices and 5S/TPM standards

• Use and update non-conformance databases accurately

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Test Technician in a mechanical or fuel testing environment

• Confident working in shift-based roles

• Understanding of valve test procedures and related technical documentation
