Machinist 

Location: Titchfield

Job type: 6 month on going contract 

Rate: £17.51 PAYE per hour increasing to £18.05 after 12 weeks

Overtime paid at a premium of time and a half, double pay on Sunday's

Hours: 07:30-16:15, Monday-Thursday, 07:30-11:30 Friday

Are you an experienced Machinist  who wants to work for an exciting, world-leading company? We are looking for a Machinist who is hardworking with great attention to detail within the manufacturing industry. 

Key role of a Machinist 

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce parts to specified tolerances.
• Select and set up appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Perform machine setups and tool changes efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications.
• Conduct regular in-process checks to ensure components maintain dimensional accuracy.

The Machinist should have the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience within a precision machining.
• Experienced working in Aerospace (not essential)
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Able to follow and understand engineering drawings
• Great attention to detail
