Mechanical Fitter
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum overtime
Hours: 37.5 per week Full-time, permanent

We are working with a growing engineering business that designs and builds bespoke machinery for a range of industries. They are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their hands-on production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, working on full machine builds from the ground up, with occasional support on-site for installation and servicing.

Role Overview for the Mechanical Fitter:

• Mechanical assembly of custom-built machinery and sub-assemblies

• Mechanical setup, alignment, and adjustment of components

• Testing, fault finding, and commissioning

• Supporting on-site installation, servicing, and breakdowns as required
  
  

Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter:

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a mechanical/manufacturing environment

• Skilled in mechanical bench fitting, fabrication, and assembly

• Strong mechanical knowledge and confident using hand and power tools

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

• Full UK driving licence (essential)

• Experience in FMCG or high-speed production environments (preferred but not essential)
  
  

Desirable Experience:

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical engineering

• Experience in machine build and mechanical integration

• Knowledge of pneumatic systems, conveyors, and robotic equipment

• Forklift licence
