A globally recognised organisation is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to support its finance team in Cardiff on a 3 to 6-month fixed-term contract. This role is ideal for candidates looking to contribute to a busy finance function and gain valuable experience within a global business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and process invoices, ensuring accurate matching with purchase orders and goods receipts.
  • Carry out payments using various methods, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Manage employee expense claims, including approval workflows and reimbursement processing.
  • Perform provisions, accruals, and clear unmatched invoices to support ledger closure and financial reporting.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role, ideally within a large or fast-moving organisation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Proficient in finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and confidence in handling supplier queries.
