PMLD Teaching Assistant
Location: IslingtonHours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Contract: Full time, temporary
School Type: Primary and Secondary SEN (PMLD)
About the Role:
A specialist school in Islington is seeking a dedicated PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their team across both primary and secondary sites. This is a full time temporary position, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties in well structured, supportive classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with PMLD
• Assist with personal care
• Help deliver individual learning plans
• Promote communication, engagement, and independence
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Requirements:
• Experience with PMLD or complex needs is desirable
• A patient, positive, and proactive approach
• Comfortable with personal care
• Able to commit to full time hours
