SEMH Maths Teacher – Full-time, long-term position with an opportunity to become permanent, starting as soon as possibleWe are seeking a committed SEMH Maths Teacher to join a nurturing and inclusive school environment. - Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to a small class of 8 pupils with SEMH needs
- Work closely with a dedicated teaching assistant to support individual learning plans
- Foster a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate with SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to support pupil development
- Contribute to the wider school community and attend relevant meetings and training
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Maths, ideally within an SEMH or SEN setting
- Strong understanding of social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Skilled in managing challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
