Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in construction?
Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor based near Exeter, is seeking a motivated Construction Buyer to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in procurement for a range of infrastructure and groundworks projects across the South West.

• Managing the procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractor packages for multiple projects.

• Building and maintaining strong supplier and subcontractor relationships.

• Negotiating best value and ensuring timely delivery of materials to site.

• Preparing and issuing purchase orders and procurement schedules.

• Assisting project teams with cost reporting and budget control.

• Supporting the development of sustainable procurement practices.

• Previous experience as a Buyer in the construction or civil engineering sector.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Good understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally experience with procurement software.

• Full UK driving licence.
