Intervention Teaching Assistant – Full-time, temporary to permanent position starting as soon as possibleWe are seeking a committed Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary SEMH school environment. • Provide targeted academic and emotional support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Deliver structured intervention sessions in maths, English, or other core subjects
• Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to implement individual learning plans
• Support pupils in managing behaviour and developing self-regulation strategies
• Assist with classroom activities and transitions throughout the school day
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and engagement
• Must be able to drive to support off-site activities and pupil transport if required

Ideal Intervention Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs
• Strong understanding of intervention strategies and behaviour support
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Confident managing challenging behaviour with empathy and consistency
• Must hold a valid driving licence and be willing to travel as part of the role
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and development
