Level 3 SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time, temp to perm position starting January 2026We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school environment. • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions
• Help manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation strategies
• Support pupils in developing confidence, resilience and independence
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment

Ideal Level 3 SEMH Teaching Assistant:

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH needs
• Strong understanding of behaviour management and emotional support strategies
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Patient, empathetic and resilient approach to supporting young people
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
