MIG Welder

Shirebrook, Nottinghamshire Up to £16/hour Full-Time Permanent

 

Are you an experienced MIG Welder looking for a long-term role in a well-established, quality-led engineering company? Do you take pride in your welds, know your way around structural steel, and want a workplace that respects skill, safety, and reliability?

We’re hiring for a MIG Welder to join a growing fabrication team in Mansfield, working on high-precision components used across industries like materials handling, structural engineering, and bespoke steelwork.

 

What You’ll Get:

  • Pay: Up to £16 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Hours:
    • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30
    • Friday: 06:30 – 14:30
  • Overtime: Regular availability – paid at enhanced rates
  • Job type: Full-time, permanent
  • Location: commutable from Mansfield, Worksop, Chesterfield, Bolsover, Nottingham

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a MIG Welder, you’ll be responsible for:

  • MIG welding structural and fabricated steel components to a high standard
  • Working from engineering drawings and fabrication sketches
  • Producing welds with good penetration, minimal distortion and clean finishes
  • Supporting the wider fabrication team to meet production and quality targets
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Occasionally working on heavier steel sections and multi-run welds

Experience with Exec Class 2 (BS EN 1090) welding standards is desirable, but not essential. Full guidance and training can be given on site.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Proven experience in MIG welding, ideally within a fabrication or structural steel environment
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • A safety-first attitude and commitment to quality
  • Good team player with the ability to work independently when needed
