Year 6 Teacher – Part-time, temporary, ongoing from January 2026 until July 2026This welcoming and inclusive school provides a nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. Staff are dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering strong relationships with pupils and families. Leaders prioritise academic progress and ensure that children receive a rich and engaging curriculum that supports their emotional, social, and educational development.Duties as Year 6 Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments and transition to secondary school
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil development
- Holds QTS and has experience teaching in KS2, ideally Year 6
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Is confident in supporting pupils through SATs preparation
- Has excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Works well as part of a team and builds positive relationships with families
