Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills? Do you enjoy working with large data sets and turning insights into actionable recommendations? Our client is seeking a Commercial Accountant to join their busy finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate reporting and analysis that drives decision-making.
About the Role
You will manage financial figures within the ERP system, produce month-end reporting packs and support process improvements across the finance function. This is a hands-on role that involves liaising with auditors, preparing statutory accounts, contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes. The position suits someone with an analytical background who thrives on data-driven work and enjoys collaborating with commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with large data sets to produce insightful analysis for commercial decision-making.
- Maintain and reconcile financial data
- Prepare month-end reporting packs and statutory VAT returns.
- Support annual budget and re-forecast processes.
- Produce analytical reports comparing actual vs planned performance and recommend actions.
- Assist with stock accounting, margin reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
- Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting.
Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, basic macros).
- Experience with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of core finance functions.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
