About the Role

You’ll join the production department as a Conversion/Slitter Machine Operator, responsible for setting and running machinery that slits, punches and perforates a range of plastic film products.

Key duties include:

  • Setting and operating conversion/slitting machinery in line with customer specifications
  • Carrying out macro punch and micro perforation work
  • Maintaining quality throughout the production run, including regular sample checks
  • Working to lean manufacturing processes to maximise machine uptime
  • Bagging, labelling and palletising finished reels
  • Using a line-side computer system to follow production schedules
  • Completing daily production reports, including weights and meterage
  • Maintaining a clean, safe working environment at all times

Skills & Experience

  • Experience within a manufacturing or production environment as a machine operator / setter (ideal but not essential)
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and customer specifications
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work safely to site procedures
  • Comfortable with physical aspects of the role (lifting, bending, moving materials)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Able to work on the below shift pattern.

Shift Pattern (4-week Continental)

  • Week 1: 4 nights, 3 off
  • Week 2: 3 days, 1 off, 3 nights
  • Week 3: 3 off, 4 days
  • Week 4: 7 off
