• Deliver engaging lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated strategies
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence
• Work closely with teaching assistants and SENCOs to support pupil progress
• Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding pupil development
• Maintain accurate records of pupil attainment and progress

Ideal SEND Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND in UK schools
• Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments
• A flexible and proactive approach to supply teaching
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
