SEMH Teaching Assistant – Day-to-Day Supply, Starting Immediately These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will work across multiple schools, providing day-to-day support with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles.Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in classroom and small group settings
- Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to ensure inclusive learning
- Provide one-to-one support where required and help pupils engage with learning activities
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs is desirable
- Strong understanding of behaviour management and emotional support strategies
- Ability to build positive relationships and maintain a calm, supportive approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
