• Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in developing life skills and independence
• Deliver enrichment activities that promote confidence and engagement
• Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored interventions
• Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
• Monitor and report on pupil progress and well-being

Ideal SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting
• Strong understanding of strategies for promoting independence and life skills
• Ability to lead small group sessions and enrichment activities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, empathy, and resilience when managing challenging behaviour
• Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
