SEMH Teacher – Part-time, one half day per week, long-term temporary and ongoingThis is an exciting opportunity to join a school where leaders have created a nurturing and inclusive environment that prioritises pupils’ personal development and well-being. The school is committed to enrichment opportunities that help pupils thrive both academically and socially.Duties as SEMH Teacher:
- Deliver tailored lessons focused on life skills, independence, and enrichment activities
- Plan and implement strategies to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and well-being
- Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of behaviour management and personalised learning strategies
- Ability to adapt teaching to promote independence and confidence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
